Goodness Gracious, 25+ Great New Media Books!

22595657.jpgOK, I realize that you probably want to turn the blogosphere off and read some pulp fiction this July 4th. But, just in case you wanted to brush-up on social media here’s a list of 25+ must-read social media, marketing and PR books. This list was compiled by Chris Abraham, Toby Bloomberg, Eric Eggertson, Susan Getgood, Kami Huyse, Ike Pigott and I via a series of Facebook messages over the past two days.

In addition to listing the authors alphabetically by name, we’ve linked their blogs or home pages (you can get their books via Amazon, bn.com or any other preferred book seller). Thus, they are designated Great Blogs of Fire, too (fulfilling my weekly round-up column). By all means, comment and add to the list.blogoffirelarger.jpg

Geoff – Put on a little sunscreen include a drink with an umbrella and you have a great way to spend a summer afternoon. By the way, great way to use the group email function on FaceBook. I’m really nervous that I’m about to get addicted. (smile)

Geoff – Great idea on the Facebook email. Since I’m late to it, I’ll add my two cents here.

The New Influencers by Paul Gillin and
Citizen Marketers by Jackie Huba and Ben McConnell

two good ones to add to the list.

From Jeremy Pepper via Facebook (who’s on vacation)…
I like hil hall’s new pr and larry weber’s new book. Oh and the Ries’ book on pr and advertising is good, although old.

Looks like my book Clear Blogging is in some very good company – and thanks for the great reading list!

THANK YOU! for including my Measuring Success in the list. I’m honored, and when the actual hard copy is available in September, I’ll be sure to send you one. Ooops, is that blog bribery?
